Recently, the 300kW photovoltaic power station located in Baja California, Mexico, was officially put into operation. The project uses the energy storage bidirectional inverter developed by Shandong Boos. The project can be used as electricity for tourism and vacation.
The project is located at the seaside, so it is difficult to set up the power grid. In the early stage of the project, a photovoltaic power station with a capacity of 650KW will be built. Due to the excessive capacity of the photovoltaic power station, the photovoltaic inverter cannot be fully operated in the daytime, and the power can only be supplied by the diesel generator at night, resulting in a great waste of resources. Therefore, it is urgent to build an energy storage power station. In the daytime, excess solar energy is stored in the battery, and at night, the load is powered by the electric energy of the battery. In consideration of the load operation throughout the year and the capacity of the photovoltaic power station, a 300KW photovoltaic energy storage system is designed to meet the local load operation.
The whole system adopts complex control technology and some algorithms in modern control. The energy storage inverter establishes a microgrid when there is no power. According to the load and battery conditions, the output power of the grid connected inverter is adjusted to achieve automatic seamless switching between the generator and the energy storage inverter in parallel and off grid. The main control system controls the photovoltaic power generation and adjusts the charging current according to the battery voltage. Control the reactive power of photovoltaic inverter to minimize the reactive power. Improve the operation efficiency of photovoltaic modules and grid connected inverters, reduce losses and improve reliability to ensure the safe operation of the entire intelligent microgrid system.
